15 Usher's Island is available for private and corporate events. As this is a privately owned house you need to apply giving as much detail as possible. It is the most unique venue in Dublin now warmly regarded by and known to some 500 million people around the world through media interest. We specialise in small and intimate dinner parties. You can enjoy the traditional meal as described by Joyce in The Dead Dinner in what is considered the most important dining room in world literature. If you want a one off and truly unique experience, this is it. The dining room accommodates 20 seated but with a buffet style larger numbers up to 100 are possible. We are not a restaurant and all food is brought in by arrangement with approved - and excellent - caterers.

Guests have included the Disney Corp. for the launch a €500,000,000 range of clothing to its senior executives. We frequently facilitate fashion shoots, book launches and musical evenings to compliment our art exhibitions. Birthday parties, wedding parties and wedding anniversaries are particular favourites. Corporate entertainment for Halloween (The House of The Dead!), Thanksgiving and Christmas corporate entertainment reflect the setting and atmosphere of The Dead. The welcoming atmosphere of the "dark gaunt house on Usher's Island" allows us cater for niche family reunions, the like of which are no longer practical in modern homes.

Limited accommodation is available on the third floor in the restored 1904 period apartment - the only one in the world associated with Joyce that you can sleep in. Paris, Zurich, Trieste, London and Galway eat your heart out!

Ground Floor:
A large Art Gallery on the ground floor can be used to host drinks parties for up to 100 people. It can also be viewed as a blank canvas for creating something very special to suit individual needs. Book launches, poetry readings, band rehearsals, music recitals, new project launches and wedding receptions. It is only a matter of time before a Wake is held at No.15

First Floor:
The 1st floor contains the 'Joyce Dining Room'. This room can seat up to 20 people for a superb recreation of the atmosphere of the dinner described by Joyce in The Dead. Candle light flickering on the walls of the room takes you back in time to the turn of the 20th Century and the ghosts of the past celebrate this wonderful evening with you and your guests. It is the actual room where James Joyce had dinner with his family on the 6th of January every year. We look forward to seeing you at Joyce's table.

The 'Drawing room' at the front of the house overlooks the new James Joyce Bridge, beautifully lit up at night. This room can seat 40 people for a candle lit dinner or can be used as a function room for pre or post dinner drinks and entertainment.
